Creating full Body with blow drying hair and Velcro Rollers

Model Alicja

Products used:
2 Medium round brushes
Comb
Heat protection serum
Volumising mouse
Setting lotion
Hair spray
Sectioning clips
Shampoo
Conditioner

A round brush with a metal centre is the best for creating volume and curls. The metal in the centre heats up as you're drying your hair and it will shape your hair better. Also, since it is round it is easier to handle your hair.

Towel to dry.

Never blow dry your hair when it is dripping wet, otherwise, you'll just be boiling your hair. Dry off first with a towel or Hair dryer at a low temperature.

Always blow dry in a downwards motion and in one direction. This will help prevent frizz and split ends.

First I washed my model's hair and I used very little conditioner, just at the end of her hair because if you want to create volume, don't put conditioner in the roots or if you have very flat hair, conditioner
makes hair extremely silky and soft. Its O.K if you want a straight and simple blow-dry but its not recommended if you want to achieve big, full, volumised hair.

I applied all my chosen products listed above except hair spray.

I towel dried my model's hair on a low  temperature,
then sectioned it into 3 sections, one at the top and 1 on each side.

I blow dried my models fringe first because it is the shortest part of the hair and it would dry quick by the time I finish with the rest of the hair and because I already applied styling products, once it drys by itself with the styling product on the hair, it won't be easy to work with and in that case, you have to wet that part again.
So to avoid this happening, if you have a model with a fringe, always dry the fringe first.

Velcro Rollers

I separated sections using my medium round-brushes. I started blowdrying from the back of the head, starting at the occipital bone and working my way up.
Each section I blow-dried, I rolled the hair around the round brush because it was still hot and I left it to cool down and using my second round brush I started with my next section.
I repeated this process until the end.
I found this method excellent to add volume and big loose curls to the hair.
The size of your curls depends on the size of your brush.

Velcro Rollers

There are 2 ways to apply your V-rollers: Option 1; once you have finished with blow-drying the hair, start applying your Velcro Rollers OR Option 2; while you are still blow drying the hair, every time you finish with a section, you can apply a Velcro roller then repeat the same to the next section and work your way up.
Option 2 is the method I used just because I personally think it's easier.

Once I removed the V-roolers, I applied a very little amount of serum and then while I was spraying from the bottom of the hair upwards, I squeezed the curls using my fists for a long lasting hold.

The Compelet Look

Overall I was very happy with the result. I just need to work on my timing.
