My Final Work Zac Posen

Zachary E Posen
American Fashion designer (1)

The Spring/Summer 2015 show, in my opinion, was all about simplicity and womens' natural beauty and with the minimum make-up that was designed for this show, it still looked very sophisticated but yet sexy and very feminine.
Zac designed a very classically structured look containing red, white and black colours. Dresses had no volume and suits had an office look. The glowing, dewy skin and bold, bright, red lips and the simple, wet sleek hair perfectly topped off the look.
The simplicity with the simultaneous glam is what attracted me to recreate this look.

Odile Gilbert
French Hairstylist (2)

Odile Gilbert is a Kerastane lead  Hairstylist. She completed Zac's design with a beautiful and again a simple wet, sleek style. The models looked like they had just come out of water, the hair pulled back from the face really complimented the bold, bright red lips and she added a little texture at the end of the hair. On dry hair, Odile styled or parted the hair the way she wanted it and then applied couture styling collection Fome Fatal-blow dry Gel. Using a large comb she then designed the hair and then blow dryed it to keep it tight with hairspray from Noire strong hold.
To finish the look she used Keratine Themique thermo-protecting primer.

Kabuki Hails
From north of England (3)

Makeup artist, Kabuki, mainly used M.A.C cosmetics.
He started with Witch-hazel toner to clear and prep the skin.
He applied a diffusing clear primer all over and a very lightweight foundation face and body from M.A.C obviously depending on the persons need, so lightweight touch was the key. Studio Finish Concealer was used for needed areas and for the cheeks he used Crèmeblend Blush. Again, he kept it very simple with rosy cheeks.
Eyes Groundwork Paint Pot was applied as a sheer layer to shape and lightly sculpt. M·A·C PRO Gloss Texture and M·A·C PRO Reflects Pearl Glitter were mixed together and swept over the eye for added dimension and shine while top and bottom lashes were coated with two coats of Haute & Naughty Black Lash Mascara. Kabuki used M.A.C lip pencil in cherry and filled with M.A.C. Pro lip-mix in Red.

My Mood-board
 Hair & Make-up

Products i used for hair

Hair straightener
Hair dryer
 Hair clips
Wide large comb
 Small comb
Heat protection serum
Innova-Strong Gel texture
Hair pray
water bottle spray

I section the Hair in 3 section and from occipital bone, I started straightening the hair section by section working my way up.
Because the front of the hair is side parted I used directional technique to get well balanced and smooth finish.

Start point

Once the hair was all straightened
I sprayed the hair with water, using water bottle-spry then I combed it through with wide comb and applied a large amount of Innova-Strong Gel texture.

Using larg and small size comb depending on the areas of need, I started styling the hair to achieve the desired style.
To finish it I used lots of strong Hold hair spry, then used hair dryer on medium heat to dry the gel but not completely.
And to add a little texture to the hair using my hands I squeezed the end of the hair upwards holding it tight for about 10 seconds this technique adds very nice natural wave to the hair.

Products used:

Cleanser
Toner

and Moisturiser for dry skin because my model's face was slightly dehydrated.

M.A.C Studio Fix foundation
Kryolan D32 (to cover the dark circles)
Kryolan loose translucent powder
Collection EB Kit - brown mixed with a small amount of black

M.A.C. Powder blusher - Feur Powder
M.A.C Mascara
Bourjois-Pure Gold eyeshadow
M.A.C Vanilla Pigment
Vaseline
M.A.C Pro Conceal & correct palette
Sleek contour Kit
Kryolan Lip Palette
M.A.C Creme liner red
M.A.C Ruby woo lipstick

Model: Sofia  Rosato
Start point

Cleanser
Toner
I start with concealing the back of the eyes just the upper part using M.A.C Pro Conceal & correct palette. I then applied
Kryolan loose translucent powder to sit it.
I used Bourjois-Pure Gold eyeshadow, I love the pigment of the product, very natural gold with hint of gold just what i wanted very pleased with colour.
I then applied M.A.C Studio Fix foundation, I aplliad it very light, because the aim was to have a very light dewy base.
To cover the dark circles around the eyes I used
Kryolan D32,
and very little M.A.C Pro conceal and correct palette to give a perfect cover, as my model wasn't feeling very well, she
had tired eyes so these 2 product worked very well to give her that lift.
I then used  Kryolan loose translucent powder to sit everything, after  I did very natural contouring using my Sleek contour Kit.
then applied mascara and enhancing her eyebrows with Collection EB Kit.
i outlined the lip with M.A.C Creme liner red
filled the lips using
M.A.C Ruby woo lipstick.

The complete look.

Overall i was happy with everything except the finish of my foundation, because the aim of this look was to achieve a very natural and kind of glossy skin.
My make-up application was very matte finish because i used Kryolan loose translucent powder. Perhaps next time even lighter base or adding very littil moisturiser or Vaseline just on the need areas such as cheekbones because they standout more and only useing loose translucent powder in most needed area such as eyes.
