Being creative with cotton wool

Todays lesson was a challenge and it was all about being creative with cotton wool.
I must say I was very excited to create this look, as I love Art and this was a very artistic experience.

M.A.C. Studio Fix

M.A.C. Powder blusher Feur Powder

Blue & Pink Cotton wool

Kryolan palette Aqua colour

To start with I completely blocked out the eyebrow.
I first combed the eyebrow upwards to make it as flat as possible.
I then applied spirit gum using cotton buds and coated the brows in glue, brushing it upwards.

I dipped the back of my brush into Kryolan loose translucent powder and pressed the eyebrow flat. I kind of rolled the back of the brush over the eyebrow and I find this works best for me - it gives a very good result, especially if someone has very thick eyebrows.

Once the eyebrow is nicely flat and the glue is thoroughly dry, apply D32 to discard the brow colour,  not too thick or thin, just enough to cover the whole eyebrow.
Using Kryolan loose translucent powder, set the eyebrow and apply a second coat of D32 if needed, followed by loose translucent powder.

 For base I used
M.A.C. Studio Fix - only a very little amount just to cover needed areas. I then blended the foundation with a buffer brush.
For shading and highlighting I used
Le Maquillage palette.
Set the makeup with light powder application, using a fan brush.
For Mascara I used M.A.C Mascara,coating all sides of the lashes.

And for blusher I used M.A.C. Powder blusher Feur Powder

To draw my pattern I used
Kryolan palette Aqua colour Black.
With a pointy brush, and to get the right consistency, I added a little water to get the creamy texture.

Once I finished drawing my desired pattern,
I used latex and the cotton bud stick,
removing the cotton wool from the stick, and used the stick to apply the latex on my pattern line, section by section.

Give the latex about a minute to become sticky, and start to stick the cotton wool, and continue doing this until you finish the whole pattern.

You can use different colours to
create your design.
I used Pink cotton wool to fill in the
leaves on my pattern. By doing this, you
follow the same instruction.

Be creative and go crazy. This is what I did and I loved every minute of it.

You can also make the lace effect design at home.

All you need is the
Red head Block
Wool
Latex or PVA Glue.
